چکیده

An approach for an off-line segmentationand recognition system for actions in meeting scenarios is presented. The deployed system consists of three major modules, which are a feature extraction module, a segmentation module and a statistical classifier which all have been assembled in conjunction of an EU funded automated meeting transcription system. All these modules and their functionality are briefly introduced. The performance of the system is evaluated on a part of the PETS-ICVS 2003 dataset (scenario B, camera 1 and 2). It is shown, that the presented system is able to detect and recognize single person actions in a meeting with an acceptable performance.

Study of Human Action Recognition Based on Improved Spatio-temporal Features

Most of the existed action recognition methods mainly utilize spatio-temporal descriptors of single interest point ignoring their potential integral information, such as spatial distribution information. By combining local spatio-temporal feature and global positional distribution information (PDI) of interest points,a novel motion descriptor is proposed in this paper. The proposed method detec...

Human Shape-Motion Analysis In Athletics Videos for Coarse To Fine Action/Activity Recognition Using Transferable Belief Model

We present an automatic human shape-motion analysis method based on a fusion architecture for human action and activity recognition in athletic videos. Robust shape and motion features are extracted from human detection and tracking. The features are combined within the Transferable Belief Model (TBM) framework for two levels of recognition. The TBM-based modelling of the fusion process allows ...

3D Hand Motion Evaluation Using HMM

Gesture and motion recognition are needed for a variety of applications. The use of human hand motions as a natural interface tool has motivated researchers to conduct research in the modeling, analysis and recognition of various hand movements. In particular, human-computer intelligent interaction has been a focus of research in vision-based gesture recognition. In this work, we introduce a 3-...

Learning a discriminative hidden part model for human action recognition

We present a discriminative part-based approach for human action recognition from video sequences using motion features. Our model is based on the recently proposed hidden conditional random field (hCRF) for object recognition. Similar to hCRF for object recognition, we model a human action by a flexible constellation of parts conditioned on image observations. Different from object recognition...

Analysis and Synthesis of Facial Expressions by Feature-Points Tracking and Deformable Model

Face expression recognition is useful for designing new interactive devices offering the possibility of new ways for human to interact with computer systems. In this paper we develop a facial expressions analysis and synthesis system. The analysis part of the system is based on the facial features extracted from facial feature points (FFP) in frontal image sequences. Selected facial feature poi...
